Product Details
The PMX sensor head features an optical particle counter that sizes and counts particles by measuring scattered light. The scattered light is converted into a voltage pulse, with the pulse amplitude corresponding to the particle diameter. Particles are then categorized into one of six particle count channels based on their size. A proprietary algorithm is used to convert the particle counts in each size fraction into mass measurements for PM1, PM2.5, PMresp, PM10, and TSP.
The PMX sensor head is compatible with Aeroqual Ranger.

What can it measure?
The Ranger | Dust is a real-time, active sampling monitor equipped with a laser optical particle counter and particle binning technology. It simultaneously samples, logs, and displays PM1, PM2.5, PMrsp, PM10, and TSP, with mass calculations adjusted using Kohler theory. The device also features an omnidirectional inlet, ensuring accurate sampling from any angle.
For environmental applications, Ranger provides a color-coded air quality index based on the U.S. AQI standard.
