How to Calibrate a VOC Module?

Hey guys, Mick from Specto Technology here. Today, I’m going to show you how to calibrate a VOC module in the Aeroqual AQS1 monitor. So, what we’re going to do is take you through how to connect the gas cylinders up to the monitor, and then take you through the software and how you actually update the calibration curve on Aeroqual Cloud. Service Kit So, the first thing we’re going to do is just show you the hardware that we’re using here. So, this is in your service kit. This is a flow regulator at 0.1 liters per minute, a hundred milliliters per minute. Then you have some tubing. This is Teflon tubing. It doesn’t absorb any contaminants. So, it’s clean…

How to Calibrate a BSWA Inside an Aeroqual Monitor?

Today, we’re going to have a look at how to calibrate your BSWA sound level meter integrated in your Aeroqual unit. 1. First, lift up your unit and then press the pause button. You should see the pause icon in the corner. 2. Once you’re on pause, press menu, navigate down to calibration, and hit enter. (We’re doing this upside down because that’s the way that the cable comes out of the box.) 3. Hit play/pause to start the calibration. Next, we’ll get our microphone ready. We will need our sound level calibrator for this. Our microphone is mounted on the tripod….

Exploring Vibration Rectification Error (VRE) in MEMS Accelerometers (Part 2)

In the first part of this 6-blog series, we introduced Instantel’s white paper (Limitations of MEMS Accelerometers for Vibration Monitoring Systems) that presented research comparing current Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Accelerometers against traditional solenoid geophone sensors. The paper concluded that, when it comes to vibration monitoring for industrial, construction and blasting applications, data from MEMS Accelerometers

Vibration Monitoring Systems: Comparing MEMS Accelerometers and Geophone Sensors (Part 1 )

Monitoring vibrations at construction, mining and blasting sites is crucial to prevent damage to property and structures, and to comply with local, state and federal regulations. When it comes to the equipment used to measure the vibrations created by these activities, users have several options from which to choose.  Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) Accelerometers While traditional

LSG6 4G Demo Unboxing

LSG6 4G Demo Unboxing

Load Sensing Demo Kit – Unboxing Today we’re going to do an unboxing of a load sensing demo kit. So we’ll start by unboxing our gateway, and this is the new 4G gateway. So pull the gateway out of the box here. The ethernet cable is pre-installed. Put that to the side there, and then let’s go through everything else we’ve got in the box here. LSG6 4G Items: A USB-C to ethernet cable. This is for local connection from the gateway to your computer. We won’t need that right now. This…

How to Connect a Solar System to the Aeroqual AQS1 or Dust Sentry Monitor?

Setting up an Ultra Powermate with a Solar Panel & an Aeroqual AQS Air Quality Sensor Today we are going to be setting up an Ultra Powermate with a solar panel and an Aeroqual AQS air quality sensor: So the first thing that we’re going to do is going to make sure all of our circuit breakers are in the off, down, off position. So once those are all switched off, we’re going to take our lead for the battery cable and we’re going to hook up our battery. Always want…
