Product Information
The Vaisala WXT536 Weather Sensor is designed to measure barometric pressure, humidity, precipitation, temperature, wind speed and direction.
The Vaisala WXT536 Weather Sensor integrates directly with Aeroqual’s EPC, Worldsensing’s Digital Data Logger and the ThreadX3, enhancing environmental, geotechnical and structural monitoring with key weather data.
Users can measure parameters critical for detecting risks like air quality pollution, landslides or structural shifts. The sensor connects via RS-485 with LS-G6-DIG-2 or RS-232 with ThreadX3, which also supports flood detection when combined with water level sensors.
PRODUCT FEATURES:
- To measure wind speed and direction, the WXT536 has the Vaisala WINDCAP® Sensor that uses ultrasound to determine horizontal wind speed and direction.
- Its small size makes it ideal for quick, short-term deployments.
- To measure wind speed and direction, the WXT536 has the Vaisala WINDCAP® Sensor that uses ultrasound to determine horizontal wind speed and direction.
- The array of three equally spaced transducers on a horizontal plane is a Vaisala specific design. Barometric pressure, temperature, and humidity measurements are combined in the PTU module using capacitive measurement for each parameter.
- The WXT536 precipitation measurement is based on the unique Vaisala RAINCAP® Sensor, which detects the impact of individual rain drops. The signals exerting from the impacts are proportional.
PRODUCT BENEFITS:
- It is easy to change the module without any contact with the sensors.
- The WXT536 is immune to flooding, clogging, wetting, and evaporation losses in the rain measurement.
- Low power consumption is ideal for battery powered systems.
- No moving parts for durability and long maintenance intervals.
- Easy integration with 3rd party data collection platforms.
TYPICAL APPLICATIONS INCLUDE:
